Choose the right ticket before paying
Choose Alhambra General (€22.27 before any online service commission) if you want the Nasrid Palaces, Alcazaba, Generalife and Partal. A €12.73 gardens/Generalife option does not substitute for Nasrid access. Every visitor needs a ticket, including children with free admission, and Nasrid Palace entry must take place at the specific slot printed on the ticket—not just any time during the day.

How to book and use Official Alhambra Patronato Tickets
- Open the verified operator portal
Start from alhambra-patronato.es and use tickets.alhambra-patronato.es; distinguish the genuine agency from tour-reseller results.
- Select the required monument areas
For historic interior Nasrid Palaces choose General Day rather than Gardens-only, and inspect which areas the ticket actually includes.
- Pick the date and Nasrid Palace slot carefully
The selected palace entry time is binding. The general site's broader opening hours do not override it.
- Enter all visitor names and original identification
Make personal, non-transferable tickets. Enter the correct passport or ID identifiers for each eligible adult visitor.
- Include all children and prove concessions
Each age 3–11 child needs a free ticket booked with the adults; under-three admission is collected under the operator's separate procedure.
- Check final total, service fee and nonrefundability
The displayed €22.27 General tariff is a reference before any official online service commission. The operator normally does not allow date/time changes or cancellations.
- Complete merchant payment and save QR documents
Save each printed/digital QR ticket and the purchase confirmation; keep a backup if your phone might have weak data connection.
- Arrive with time to reach Nasrid entrance
The Alhambra is a large complex: allow time to walk from access gates to the correct Nasrid Palace entrance. Ticket collection when required may need at least one hour's buffer.
- Show original ID, QR and obey access rules
Each visitor carries the applicable ticket; comply with the 40×40 cm baggage limit, restricted stroller routes, and one-time entry to monuments.
Purchasing guidance, not real-time availability or admission guarantee. The actual provider's product-specific instructions take priority.
Do not assume a payment receipt alone is admission. The provider may separately issue QR tickets, wristbands, redemption vouchers or a mandatory visit-day reservation.

Which Alhambra ticket includes the Nasrid Palaces?
The 2026 official Alhambra General daytime ticket specifically lists Nasrid Palaces, Partal, Alcazaba and Generalife, so it is the most straightforward choice if you want the core palaces. Its published €22.27 base is not necessarily the final online checkout total, because the institution adds a service commission for internet purchases. Other products, including a €12.73 gardens-and-Generalife visit, cover a different set of spaces.
Don't buy a vague 'Alhambra admission' from an unknown search result without checking the included Nasrid access. The Alhambra museum and the Palace of Charles V have separate free areas; a walk in those accessible spaces is not the same as a booked palace visit. A genuine guide or tour can offer added value, but only when the exact entrances and time are stated.
The palace time is stricter than the general opening time
The Patronato warns that admission to the Nasrid Palaces is allowed only at the time printed on your ticket. The broader complex opens 08:30–20:00 in the April-to-October 14 season and 08:30–18:00 from October 15 through March, but the booked palace slot remains the binding deadline. You may plan the Alcazaba and gardens around it subject to their opening hours.
In May and August 2026 Granada community reports, visitors discussed sold-out tickets and last-minute reappearances. Those reports should prompt you to plan ahead, not to rely on an unofficial trick that promises a specific release time. A reseller saying 'guaranteed admission' needs a real product with a concrete palace time; occasional returns do not guarantee inventory.
Name and passport rules affect every family member
Alhambra tickets are personal and non-transferable. The institution requires original ID or passport matching the admission, and officers may check it inside the complex. A concession requires the correct certificate. Children ages 3–11 must have free tickets selected alongside the accompanying adults, while a different on-site procedure applies for infants under three.
For a family with several children, the total cost cannot be calculated just by multiplying adult tickets. Each child's ticket still needs to exist in the system, and particular guided-visit packages may impose different child eligibility and guide charges. Do not attempt to copy another visitor's QR code or purchase a transferred named admission.
Why resellers may cost much more than the official fare
A guided Alhambra package can legitimately combine professional explanation, different services and visitor support, but it may also carry a large markup. The official General base €22.27 is the reference for evaluating whether that additional service is worth it. A private 'discounted' listing is not proof the price is lower until dates, palace entrance, taxes and cancellation are compared.
The Patronato warns that purchases are generally final and changing the visit date or time is normally not possible. If your flight or intercity bus could arrive late, pay for a day with sufficient buffer. A cheaper nonrefundable ticket on a risky connection can become the most expensive option.
What the QR ticket permits at the monument
The official ticket portal says every visitor must carry the ticket in digital or printed QR form and keep it during the visit. For tickets requiring physical collection, the operator specifies that tickets must be collected at least one hour before Nasrid Palace admission and may demand the booker's ID and payment card.
Larger backpacks than 40×40 cm are restricted, and pushchairs cannot be taken into the Nasrid Palaces, Generalife Palace or Alcazaba. Families should check the official cloakroom arrangement rather than assuming a large travel stroller can go wherever they go. Each listed space generally permits one entry on the selected day.
What if your date is already sold out?
Look again at the official portal and verify legitimate alternative products such as a real licensed guided visit that explicitly includes the desired palace. Some availability may change as different authorised booking allocations are released, but no platform should promise that a slot will definitely appear just before midnight.
A May 2026 Granada community thread describes visitors repeatedly refreshing official dates and debating resellers that cost multiples of face value. Those are individual reports, not authority for an automated release schedule. Do not pay strangers for a transferred, named ticket or assume the family can enter without matching IDs.
Our recommendation for a meaningful Granada visit
If this is your first visit and you care about the ornate interiors, book the full official General admission early, with a Nasrid slot that leaves time for the Alcazaba and Generalife. Build a practical route from your Granada transport, and budget walking and heat rather than using the absolute last gate time. Buying a cheaper garden ticket is reasonable only if you intentionally do not require the Nasrid Palaces.
Checked against the operator's 2026 published prices, FAQ and official entrance instructions on 15 October 2026. Real ticket availability, last-minute release timing and any fee charged at your specific checkout can change. Waynote has no commissioned Alhambra tickets and makes no firsthand-visit claim.
Short booking answers
Does a Gardens ticket include the Nasrid Palaces?
No. Select the official General admission or another product explicitly including Nasrid entry.
Can I enter the Nasrid Palaces at any time on my ticket day?
No. The printed Nasrid Palace time is compulsory and missed slots can mean refusal.
Do children under 12 need tickets if admission is free?
Yes. Children aged 3–11 need the booked free ticket, while children under three have an on-site issue procedure.
Can I swap a booked date or sell an unused named ticket?
Generally no; official tickets are personal and normally nonrefundable/non-changeable, subject to statutory exceptions.
